On the Seventh Day, There was a Choice...

Lord Sunday (The Keys To The Kingdom)If you don't know what in the world that title means, well I'm about to tell. It's finally here, the final book in the Key's of the Kingdom Series by Garth Nix called, 'Lord Sunday'. If you haven't read any of this series I seriously recommend it. With it's ancient mysteries, and cross roads it leads to a great climax in this epic book series.

The library is now completing this series as well as several others including the City of Glass series.

There is also much talk about the finally getting a manga section in the teens area. Yes, seriously, all manga, including a fully donated series that some if not all of us know about, Fruits Basket. Yup, in all truth, the FULL SERIES! If you haven't ever seen this series, then come by it's hilarious.

Linger There are several other things in the works and many other books that have been brought into the YA section of the library, including one book that everyone is going to drop a jaw at, the second book in the new series by Maggie Stiefvater, if you don't know, then here's a picture of it. (Don't ask me how they got it three months early.)

 Until next time...

The Crescendo

It's getting closer, as of April the 11th the book cover of Crescendo has come out. The book written by Becca Fitzpatrick is the second in the Hush series. The book is due out November 16th 2010 and a lot of people are dying to read it. If you don't know what the synopsis of the story is. Here it is:

Nora should have know her life was far from perfect. Despite starting a relationship with her guardian angel, Patch (who, title aside, can be described anything but angelic), and surviving an attempt on her life, things are not looking up. Patch is starting to pull away and Nora can't figure out if it's for her best interest or if his interest has shifted to her arch-enemy Marcie Millar. Not to mention that Nora is haunted by images of her father and she becomes obsessed with finding out what really happened to him that night he left for Portland and never came home.

The farther Nora delves into the mystery of her father's death, the more she comes to question if her Nephilim blood line has something to do with it as well as why she seems to be in danger more than the average girl. Since Patch isn't answering her questions and seems to be standing in her way, she has to start finding the answers on her own. Relying too heavily on the fact that she has a guardian angel puts Nora at risk again and again. But can she really count on Patch or is he hiding secrets darker than she can even imagine?

So there you have it. Until next time...
