The Crescendo

It's getting closer, as of April the 11th the book cover of Crescendo has come out. The book written by Becca Fitzpatrick is the second in the Hush series. The book is due out November 16th 2010 and a lot of people are dying to read it. If you don't know what the synopsis of the story is. Here it is:

Nora should have know her life was far from perfect. Despite starting a relationship with her guardian angel, Patch (who, title aside, can be described anything but angelic), and surviving an attempt on her life, things are not looking up. Patch is starting to pull away and Nora can't figure out if it's for her best interest or if his interest has shifted to her arch-enemy Marcie Millar. Not to mention that Nora is haunted by images of her father and she becomes obsessed with finding out what really happened to him that night he left for Portland and never came home.

The farther Nora delves into the mystery of her father's death, the more she comes to question if her Nephilim blood line has something to do with it as well as why she seems to be in danger more than the average girl. Since Patch isn't answering her questions and seems to be standing in her way, she has to start finding the answers on her own. Relying too heavily on the fact that she has a guardian angel puts Nora at risk again and again. But can she really count on Patch or is he hiding secrets darker than she can even imagine?

It's Official!

Hey Bloggers,

Got some big news for you. It is official the Marlin Public Library is indeed having a 'Gamer Day' and I've just gotten the scoop with a cherry on top. They are going to be sponsored by Pizza Hut!!!!! So what does that mean?

HHHHMMMMM.... I wonder? Free Pizza?

You betcha!

The 'Gamer Day' has been set for March 18th, Thursday at 4:00p.m. - 6:00p.m. There is going to be 'of course' pizza, book prizes, and a 'Represent You School' prize, with your pix on their website with the prize. Unfortunately they won't tell me what it is, so that means big. According to the rules they are laying down, whichever school gets the most wins will be getting a prize, which is going to be cool. I hope. ^_^

What's going on?!

Hey,

So what's happening over here. Nothing much, just reading, writing, and surfing, but getting ready for this SPRING BREAK!!! Most everyone is dying for it to finally GET HERE! So the Marlin Public Library is getting ready for some major fun for teens.

Lounging around the house and doing nothing for a week is nice, but after a while it gets really boring. So the Marlin Public Library is going to be having a Gamer Day at the library Thursday of Spring Break, from 4 - 6 p.m. It will be a lot of fun! They are setting up a play station and bringing lots of cool games to go with. There will also be Uno, Scrabble Slam, Clue, Sorry, and a whole lot of Johnson Brother's games.

But in other news, cool video for all of you. This is the new book by Carrie Ryan called 'The Dead Tossed Waves.'



Also news, is this!!! FANG BY JAMES PATTERSON! I don't know if any of you read the Maximum Ride series, but I've been dying for this book to come out and there's more news to go with it, there is a trailer to go with it, but it hasn't come out yet. If you haven't seen the Maximum Ride trailer, make a point of going to youtube and seeing it. But this is leaked info on it, plus photos, HERE.

New to Marlin Library

Hey Teens!

Who ever said a library had to be boring (or quiet). It's time there was revolt!!! Let's get started! We are eagerly anticipating some fun stuffs going on for spring break this coming March. We all know it's a drag during Spring Break. Sure it's fun for a few days to sleep in, pig out, and watch TV in our pajamas. But we all need something to do after that.

Reading? No way. Gaming? Now that sounds like a start!

The Marlin Public Library, is proud to present this new blog dedicated to teens, by teens!
